In a co-brokerage deal, the listing broker signs an agreement with the seller and puts the boat on the market. They share it with other brokers, usually through the listing systems the industry uses, and any of those brokers can then show the boat to their own buyers.
When a buyer’s broker - often called the selling broker - brings a buyer who closes, the two brokers split the commission. The split is agreed up front. Half and half is common, but it varies with the agreement and the boat.
It works because no single broker has every buyer. The seller gets far more exposure, the listing broker gets the boat sold, and the selling broker earns on a boat they didn’t have to list. For buyers, it means any broker they trust can help them with almost any boat on the market.
YachtPushr stays out of the agreements and the split. It helps with the marketing on both sides, getting your own listings seen and showing buyers the other boats you can sell.
