YachtPushr — Industry Intelligence
Yacht Charter SEO

Yacht charter SEO that fills the calendar.

Yacht charter SEO is getting your trip pages in front of guests when they search for the charter they want, on Google and in AI assistants. YachtPushr is the software that writes and publishes those pages for charter operators, and it’s how we took Sophisticated Yachting from a brand new company with no trips booked to busy. It became the top choice in search, many of our guests came from AI recommending us, and our social presence grew a lot.

Our story

From no bookings to a busy calendar.

Sophisticated Yachting started from nothing. It was a brand new company with nothing on the calendar and nobody searching for us by name.

We used YachtPushr to handle the marketing we didn’t have time for. It wrote and published articles about our trips and our area, and it kept our social accounts going through the season. The social side has its own guide on yacht charter marketing.

We’re busy now. We became the top choice in search, our social presence grew a lot, and many of our guests came to us because an AI recommended us.

Charters are a ton of work. Between guests, maintenance, cleaning and keeping an eye on the weather, there isn’t much time left over for writing blog posts. YachtPushr saves us a lot of that time, and it’s brought in bookings.

How YachtPushr helps

Everything we did for Sophisticated Yachting, done for you.

YachtPushr is the software we used to grow Sophisticated Yachting, so there’s no agency in the middle. It keeps new content going every week while you’re out running trips, and it shows you what’s bringing people in.

  1. 01

    It learns your business

You fill in your company profile once: your trips, your boat, your area and the kind of guests you get. Everything it suggests and writes starts from that.

  2. 02

It keeps a list of what to write about

Article and post ideas about your charters, your season and the questions guests ask. If you want more about something specific, like your launch charters, you can steer it that way.

  3. 03

    It drafts the articles

Website Articles are long-form drafts that answer charter questions, written in the tone you set. You read them, edit what you want and approve them. Nothing goes out until you do.

  4. 04

    It publishes them for you

Approved articles go to your WordPress site on the date you pick, or into any other site through our API. Posts go out across your social media too, so your accounts don’t go quiet when you’re busy.

  5. 05

    It shows you what's working

Site Analytics pulls in your Google search data and shows what’s being seen, what’s being clicked and where you rank, in plain English, including the searches that are close to page one.

  6. 06

It tells you what to do next

Weekly Intelligence gives you a recommended focus and a short list of next steps every week, so the plan keeps moving.

How guests search

Nobody searches for "yacht charter company."

Charter guests search for the trip they have in mind. Things like private yacht charter Miami, sunset cruise for 10 people, rocket launch boat tour Cape Canaveral or bachelorette boat rental near me. Most of those mix a place with an occasion or a group size, and hardly anyone types a company name until they already know you.

That’s why a nice home page that says “luxury yacht charters” usually doesn’t get you very far. Google is looking for a page that matches what someone typed, and a lot of charter sites only have a home page, a fleet page and a contact form. Rental and tour companies run into the same thing with even shorter notice, which we cover in boat rental marketing. And if you run a different kind of yachting business, SEO for yachting businesses has the wider view.

YachtPushr is built around this. The ideas it gives you come from the trips you run and the questions your guests ask, so the articles it writes line up with what people are searching for.

What to build

The pages charter guests are looking for.

The pages that rank for charters are specific ones: one for each trip, one for where you leave from, and clear answers on what’s included and what it costs. You could write them all yourself, but most operators don’t have the time. YachtPushr drafts them for you, one after another, and you approve them.

A page for each kind of trip

Sunset cruises, sandbar days, fishing, launches, overnights, corporate outings. Each one should get its own page so it can show up when someone searches for that trip.

A page for where you depart

Guests search by town, marina and landmark. Say exactly where you leave from, where you go and how long it takes to get there.

What's included

Captain, crew, fuel, food, drinks, towels, music, gratuity. Guests compare this from one operator to the next, so spell it out instead of “contact us for details.”

Pricing guidance

You don’t have to publish a rate sheet. A starting price or a range keeps people on your page instead of going back to search to find one.

Answers to the questions you get on the phone

Weather calls, cancellations, how many people, kids, pets, what to bring, whether they can bring their own food. If it comes up on most calls, put the answer on your site.

Your own photos

Your boat, your crew, guests having a good day. Name the files and fill in the alt text so Google knows what’s in them.

Example

What a good trip page looks like.

If I were building a sunset cruise page from scratch, I’d start with the title, because that’s the part that has to match the search. Something like “Private Sunset Cruise in [your town] for up to 6 guests” tells Google and the guest exactly what they’re getting. “The Sunset Experience” sounds nice but doesn’t tell anyone much.

Right under that, one paragraph with the basics: where you leave from, how long you’re out and who the trip is for. A lot of people decide in those first few lines whether to keep reading.

After that it’s mostly answering the questions you already get on the phone. Where do you go and what will we see. What happens if the weather turns. What’s included and what costs extra. Roughly what it costs - even a starting price keeps people on the page. And the handful of things that come up on almost every call, like whether they can bring their own food or if there’s a restroom on board.

Use your own photos from that trip, not stock, and make the next step obvious. One button to book or ask a question works better than five options. Then link it to your departure page and your other trips.

That’s the kind of article YachtPushr drafts for you. You add the details only you know, like your route or the spot where you always see dolphins, approve it, and it goes out on schedule.

What moves rankings

What moves charter rankings from page two to page one.

This site is a good example. Google was showing YachtPushr hundreds of times for “yacht charter seo” and almost nobody clicked. When you see that, you’re usually somewhere on page two. Close, but very few people look past the first page.

It’s worth checking your own site for the same thing, and you don’t have to dig through Google’s tools to do it. Connect your Google account to YachtPushr and Site Analytics does it for you. Your Google report lists the searches that are close to page one, like “sunset cruise [your town]”, and tags them in the table so you know which articles to make stronger first. It also points out pages that are already on page one but aren’t getting many clicks, where a better title can bring in more visits.

Getting them up is mostly common sense, it just takes consistent work. Each page should be about one thing and written for the person searching for it, not a home page trying to cover every service you offer. Look at what’s ranking above you and make yours more specific - for a charter that usually means details about your boat, your route and your area. Keep adding pages through the year instead of one big push and then nothing. And link your pages to each other so guests and Google can see how your trips fit together.

If you get a lot of “near me” searches, keep your Google Business Profile current too. The map results usually show up near the top for those, so your hours, photos, categories and reviews from happy guests all count.

Most of this isn’t hard to understand. Keeping up with it every month during the season is the hard part, and that’s a big reason we built YachtPushr.

Inside YachtPushr

See what's working every week.

Weekly Intelligence tells you where to focus each week. It looks at your company profile, the priorities you’ve set and your latest social media performance, then suggests a focus and what to do next.

Put that next to Site Analytics for search and you can see which pages are working and what to write next, without logging into a bunch of different tools to figure it out. We go further into reading those numbers in yachting analytics and reporting.

Where search is heading

Charter guests are asking AI where to book.

More and more people ask ChatGPT, Google’s AI answers or another assistant to help plan a day on the water, and those assistants name specific operators. We’ve seen this firsthand - many of Sophisticated Yachting’s guests came to us because an AI recommended us.

From what we’ve seen, assistants tend to recommend businesses whose pages are clear about the details: where you leave from, what’s included, how many people you can take and roughly what it costs. Vague pages don’t give them much to go on.

That’s why we think the steady stream of specific articles YachtPushr produces matters even more now. Every one is another clear, detailed page about your trips and your area for an assistant to find.

Questions

Yacht charter SEO, answered.

Does SEO work for a small charter business?

+

It did for ours. Sophisticated Yachting was a brand new company with no trips booked. We kept adding pages and posts through YachtPushr, it became the top choice in search, and many of our guests came from AI recommending us. Every area is different so we can’t promise the same results, but it’s the approach we’d use again.

How long does SEO take for a charter company?

+

Faster than most people expect. From what we’ve seen, new pages can be indexed by Google in under two weeks. Climbing to the top for busy searches takes longer, which is why YachtPushr keeps adding pages through the season and Site Analytics shows you which ones are moving.

How much of my time does it take?

+

A lot less than writing it yourself. Most of your time goes into reading drafts, adding a detail or two only you know and approving them. YachtPushr handles the ideas, the publishing and the reporting.

Do I need a blog?

+

You need pages that answer what guests search for, and a blog is the easiest place to keep adding them. Whether you call it a blog, guides or trip ideas doesn’t really matter.

Should I stay on charter listing platforms?

+

If they bring you bookings, yes. Marketplaces rank well because they have thousands of pages behind them, but you’re relying on their traffic. They take a cut, they decide how you show up next to competitors, and they mostly own the guest relationship. Your own site takes longer to build up, but repeat guests, referrals and direct bookings end up there with no commission. YachtPushr is how you keep building that site week after week.

Does YachtPushr build my website?

+

It can. YachtPushr works with the site you already have, publishing articles to WordPress or into any site through our API. If your site only has a home page, a fleet page and a contact form, our website rescue program rebuilds it around the trips guests search for, and we host it and keep it current.

Will the articles sound like AI wrote them?

+

No. YachtPushr is designed so your articles sound like your charter business, not like AI, and everything it publishes stays within Google’s and Bing’s content policies. You review every one before it goes out.

What does yacht charter SEO cost with YachtPushr?

+

Pricing depends on your business and what you need. Request a demo and we’ll walk through it with you.
